The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) was established in 2014 with the launch of its first undergraduate programme, B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering. In 2023, the department expanded its intake capacity to 120 students, and in 2025 introduced a second programme, B.Tech. Electronics Engineering ( VLSI Design and Technology), to meet the growing opportunity and demand for skilled professionals in the semiconductor and chip design industry.
Today, the department serves over 560 undergraduate students, guided by a team of highly qualified and dedicated faculty members. The faculty are actively engaged in teaching and research across diverse domains such as Signal Processing, Electronic Circuit Design, Communication Systems, VLSI, Machine Learning, Internet of Things (IoT), and Embedded Systems. Students are encouraged to work on real-time projects with a focus on innovation and social impact.
The department is equipped with modern laboratories and state-of-the-art facilities that support both academic learning and research initiatives. Collaborations with leading industries such as National Instruments, Keysight Technologies, and Texas Instruments have strengthened the department’s ability to provide hands-on exposure to real-world industrial challenges. In addition, workshops, expert lectures, and value-added courses are regularly organized to bridge the gap between industry and academia, enhancing students’ technical competencies and employability. The department also conducts holistic living sessions to nurture ethical values, social responsibility, and a service-oriented mindset among students. Students are actively motivated to participate in national and international contests, hackathons, and competitions, bringing laurels to the department. Graduates of the department have consistently excelled, securing placements in reputed industries and admissions in premier higher education institutions across the globe.

The abundance of support and guidance from the faculties not only helped me in my curriculum but also effectively aided me to grow as a person. The laboratory facilities are really good to experiment with and observe the theoretical concepts in real life as this definitely helped me understand the importance of applying what we know. There are many competitions such as hack-a-thons and exhibitions that are conducted to showcase our skills as well. Though there are a lot of challenges that might occur, the art of facing and tackling them is what I have learned in this institution.
